DOUGLAS MAINA
1.I gained an interest in anime after I saw my friend's vine account. So I downladed episodes of the anime that I was currently watching and edit them

2. Basically my first step was importing the episodes and deciding what clips I would edit. You can select then put on the timeline by copy and paste

3. Next it was deciding what clip would go after the other. this was by far my hardest part since you have to find a flow in the different clips.

4. Masking is one of the key features that make a video pop. So i used masking in the transitions of clips. First you select the masking effect, then on whatever part of the video you want, draw the desired outline

5.There is the differnet options of shape of the mask. These are linear, bezier and b-spine, which shape the outline differently. After getting what you want, you have to draw a shape for every frame. So first of all add the option of adding keyframes.
6. After adding the options, continue altering your outline until you get to the other clip and the whole screen is visible

7. After exposing he whole image, make sure the opacity as at 100 so that the former clip cannot be seen. Moving frames, you also want to reduce the opacity every times so that you have a more natural smooth effect

8. A neat trick i learnt was how to make a frame or two move and kind of 'shake'. You need to select about two or four frames not longer than 2 seconds and at a point, move the screen by moving the elements on ken burns. This will only work with short selected frames

9. Another great effect is the xray. It does exactly what it describes but with the combination of other effects, it creates an amazing look

10. the finishing touch to any AMV is the music. The music has to be captivating and in line with the video.
