1. I started with theses images from the interent. I made sure to get picture with high resolution that don't get noisy when you zoom in in photoshop

2. You will need to select the main image that you are working on so that you can separate it from the background. Select the blue channel, which provides the darkest hue. After, go to image and select levels under adjustments. Move the grey pointer to the left as much as you can to darken the image but not the background

3.Pic a brish that and make the darkness 100. Then colour the image and it's outline black, without touching the background. After that, make a copy of the blue channel

4. After that, move back to the layers, and you will notice the background would have been selected. to change this, go to select and choose inverse to change the selection to the subject. Make that selection a new layer and the rest a background. Since we want a subtle background, colour it white.

5. Open the image you want to expose and select it. Paste it as a layer in your current project. You will notice that it will appear at the back of your subject and you need it to be exposed. So move it to the top of the layers stack.

6. This will make the new picture cover the old own but you will need to add a vector mask of layer 2 to the new picture. This will create an outline of the subject. Since you might need to change the perecption or angle, you need to click on scale under transform and position it how you want.

7. Make a duplicate of the first layer and move it to the top. After go to image and invert it. This will bring out the desired exposure and still have the image in place. To make the original subject more apparent, change the normality to multiply to get key features of the subject.

8. Now you need to bring out the feature that you would like to and push back the ones that are not as important. You need your brush here but it's hardness should be at a 0. Switch back inbetween black and white. Black to paint the parts back on and white to clear them away.

9. Finally, add a vector mask of the copy of layer one to your current layer. This is makes the background clear as before so that the focus is on the subject and exposure within its outline.
